The only removable braces system to consider, Invisalign®, is the clear aligner system used by Dr. Mike Morris.
Invisalign®, unlike those prescription free removable aligners you see all over the internet, is a tried and true orthodontic system like no other.
Invisalign® is a clear plastic tooth aligner and straighter system that has been around for decades.
It is clearly the number one choice when it comes to crooked and tilted teeth. As a licensed provider, Chittenden Dental offers Invisalign® for teens and adults.
Some removable braces are so thick they are uncomfortable to wear, but not this aligner system.
Invisalign® is incredibly comfortable and so thin the only people who will know you are wearing them are you and your cosmetic dentist in Burlington.
Invisalign® gently moves the teeth into position using sets of clear plastic aligners.
In order for you to get the best results you must wear your custom made aligners 23 hours every day. The only time you remove your clear braces is when you eat, brush and floss your teeth.
If you don’t wear your aligners 23 hours every day you could impede the process. In other words, your 9 month treatment could turn into 18 months or more if you do not follow the protocol.
Your Burlington cosmetic dentist provides this service to teens and adults who have mild to moderate spaces between teeth.
This system also works for those who have crooked or tipped teeth and for patients with moderate under and overbites.
While this type of orthodontic system is great for those with mild to moderate problems, it isn’t right for everyone.
People who have severe cross bites or over bites or those with extra wide spaces between teeth may have better results with conventional wires and brackets.
People who have temporomandibular disorder or people with dental bridges or dental implants aren’t always good candidates for Invisalign® in Burlington.
People who grind or clench or those with misshaped or small teeth may not be the best candidates for invisible braces either.
Furthermore, tobacco use is not recommended during treatment as the nicotine and tar will stain the aligners making them unsightly.
Clear Aligners are excellent for:
Chittenden Dental cannot stress the importance of an exam before proceeding with clear plastic aligners. An Invisalign® consultation will determine if you and clear braces are a good fit.
